The Edge

Meets on Friday nights 7.30-9.00pm for young people in years 7 up.

This is a club for high school young people with lots of activities through the evening, as well as a separate room for chill-out conversation, a tuckshop (which includes subsidised healthy options!).

The evening includes a short optional time at the end, "Straight-talk", when the focus is on a relevant theme to do with Christian living as a young person in today's world, exploring faith and its implications in relevant ways for the members. There are also trips and activities outside the club - from local based things when the weather permits in the nearby Longford Park, to planned travel out of the area (parental consent required), occasionally in a club time but usually as an extra activity, typically on a weekend day/evening or in one of the school holidays.

Sunday morning groups

We offer a range of groups alongside services on Sunday mornings.

We join together in the start of the service with the whole church family before the young people's groups begin in the parish room and vestry - there is normally some time for all the young people together with musicians and then separate ages specific groups with interesting activities and teaching. We aim for the young people to have a good time together and to learn and grow through the experience and content of the sessions. We vary the age breakdown of the groups from time to time as young people are always growing and developing so that we seek to fit in with their needs. We are very eager for the building extension to go ahead as this will give us much better facilities and greater flexibility.

Helen Brown coordinates the groups - please speak to her for more information.

The Edge on Sunday
Sunday 7.30-8.30. Another time for year 7+ young people to join in activities geared for them, similar to Friday night.
